Julie works from a strength-based approach with clients where her gentleness and humor provide connections for change that clients have identified for their therapy goals. Creating a trusting, meaningful narrative for your process of change, is Julie’s goal in working with you.

Her commitment to supporting families includes over 15 years of working with children and youth in mental health services, child welfare and the public-school system in Manitoba. In the past five years, the majority of her clinical work has focused on relational outcomes to improve individual well-being whether that is between parent and child, in couples work or systemically as a Marriage and Family Therapist.

Attachment theory and assessment guide Julie in therapy as well as trauma informed, solution focused, and play based interventions to address grief, anxiety, addictions, conflict in the home and communication needs.

Julie is a registered Social Worker with a BSW undergraduate degree from the University of Manitoba and has her Master of Marriage and Family Therapy degree from the University of Winnipeg. She is able to see clients in person and online.
